G2 invited to DreamHack Masters Malmö

G2 will compete at DreamHack Masters Malmö after accepting a direct invitation from the organizers.

The French side will be joining a stacked competition in Malmö, becoming the seventh top-ten team confirmed at the tournament, featuring the likes of Liquid, Vitality, Astralis, and ENCE thus far.

G2 have risen up the ranks in the last two months, placing fifth-sixth at the last DreamHack Masters stop in Dallas and picking up an impressive runners-up finish at ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, although most recently they went out in groups at IEM Chicago.

G2 will make their second DreamHack Masters appearance in a row

Before the Swedish tournament comes along, Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon & co. will also compete at the StarLadder Major and at ESL One New York, with the latter event ending just two days before the kick-off of DreamHack Masters Malmö.

The team list for the $250,000 event taking place on October 1-6 currently features the following 10 teams, with two more spots being reserved for invites and the rest filled via qualifiers:
